TEN YEARS STRONG
The Children's Advocacy Center of East Central Missouri has celebrated our 10th year of service to our communities. In November of 2000, we opened our DeSoto site with 2 full time employees and one half-time employee. As this message is being written in January 2011, we have 8 full time staff and 3 sites. We serve 10 counties and have provided over 3500 forensic interviews for children.
The basic message of our mission has remained the same and children continue to be our number one priority. While the faces of our teams change, the commitment to children and child protection remains. It is a philosophy embedded within our communities. Child protection is a team effort and the CACECM is proud to be a part of the team. Our fundraisers continue to grow as does the need for our services. Our new Child Abuse Prevention Program is underway in Franklin County and the feedback couldn't be better. We are committed to finding the funding that will expand this program to our other counties. We have a Mental Health Network that offers training with nationally recognized speakers for network therapists. What we know right now is that we have a solid network. However, since we serve 10 counties, we are always looking for therapists who are a good fit with our philosophy for our children and families.
It is an honor for us to be so well received in the counties we serve. We thank you, our children and their families, our teams, our donors, and our board for all for your support through the years and we look forward to a bright future.
I'm not at all happy with the Children's Advocacy Center. Just cause a very young child didn't tell them a stranger who did something to them then they can't do nothing.1 or 2 visits I don't feel is enough time for a child to open up to strangers. So the person whom harms them gets away with their crime and still gets by the child. No wonder so many children are hurt or killed in this world today. It sad and makes me want to just puke.

I won't miss the Sweetheart Dance. I look forward to watching Alderwood perform. I've been watching for them at the live music venues around.

It has kept a low profile, but RBS Aviation Capital, which celebrated its 10th birthday on May 3, is a great survivor.
Ten years ago shareholders in IAMG, a Cayman Islands-based aircraft lease arranger, put the company up for sale.
Royal Bank of Scotland, which was already a significant aircraft lender, outbid Abbey National to buy IAMG, which was renamed Lombard Capital and later became RBS Aviation Capital.
